God Appoints All World Leaders - the Righteous and the Evil, Obama and Trump

First, Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior.

I do not worship anyone on earth. Not Trump. And although I wanted Ted Cruz, I did not worship him.  But I am neither #nevertrump, nor am I a #BranchTrumpidian. I recently unregistered from the Republican Party.  I am no political party. Both support planned murderhood.  In fact, Trump is on a pace to give more taxpayer funds to planned murderhood than Obama ever did - and abortions are rising!

I am a Christian conservative.  I will never vote for democrats based on abortion first and foremost, and secondly because the democrat party is now the party of socialism and communism.  I don't really differentiate, the are both equally evil.  

But the Republican party is especially dead in my state of California.  They allowed for open primaries and only top two vote-getters are allowed now to be on the final ballot.  In 2016, there were many races on my ballot that I didn't even vote because the top two candidates were both democrats. My vote is disenfranchised, therefore I am no party - for now.

So now I am in a political limbo. My #NeverTrump 'er friends on facebook deride me if I post something from Ted Cruz.  If I complain about Trump's crass style, then my Trumpster friends call me a liberal sellout, who would rather have seen Hillary win. (sigh)

The worst is when people assign attributes of divinity to Trump.  He has been 'chosen' and 'sent' by God Almighty to lead our nation. God wasn't involved before, but in the 2016 election, suddenly God decided to get involved in American politics. Really?

God is sovereign - ALL THE TIME.  Obama was chosen and place in the White House just as much as Donald J. Trump was chosen and placed in the White House.

Consider Romans Ch. 13:1-4 (ESV):
1 Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. 2 Therefore whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment. 3 For rulers are not a terror to good conduct, but to bad. Would you have no fear of the one who is in authority? Then do what is good, and you will receive his approval, 4 for he is God's servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword in vain. For he is the servant of God, an avenger who carries out God's wrath on the wrongdoer.
Verse 4 is telling! The president is God's servant whether he is a democrat or Republican!  You don't get to choose which president you will honor and pray for.
Proverbs 8:15-16 (KJV) 
15 By me kings reign, and princes decree justice.
16 By me princes rule, and nobles, even all the judges of the earth.
"By Me" God says.  Kings and princes, nobles and judges reign by God's will and no other.  Some as punishment (Babylon), and some as blessing (Solomon).

I admit that I resisted Obama.  I did not respect him.  He was no friend to Christians, Israel or capitalism.

But to claim that God appointed Trump and that Trump is doing God's will, while simultaneously rejecting that God appointed Obama is being willfully blind to scripture.

Doesn't being a Christian require some basic theological understandings? Such as admitting that you are a sinner who needs the forgiveness.  Here's a short YouTube video here where Trump denies needing forgiveness.  Sorry that the sound quality is not too good. But don't say Trump is "of" God when he fails the basic test of Christianity 101.

God is alive and involved always in every appointment of every king (president) good and bad.

JESUS CHRIST And Newtown CT - Where Is God?

     Where was God on Friday, December 14th?  And for that matter during the Virginia Tech shooting?  And the theater shooting in Aurora, CO?  And the Columbine High School shooting?  We can keep going, but you get the idea.  We can also ask this question in respect to the 9/11 attack.  But for this column I want to stay focused on the school attacks.         And when the face of evil confronts us, a godless society turns to Christians and says, "Where is your God?  Why did he let this happen?"   God was there.  And his heart is sad.  satan was there as well and his heart is black with joy at the discord his agent has sown.  Yes, the shooter was evil.  And yes, the shooter was doing the evil one's plans.           Our national spiritual history has led us to this point.  We have kicked God out of our classrooms and made Christians out to be wackos.  We redefine marriage to be what we think it is and not what God has ordained.  Cultural relativism says that

The DEATH Penalty and being Christian

Can I be a 100% sold out born again Christian AND also support capital punishment (death penalty)?  I believe the answer is yes. From a Biblical and moral position, the book of Leviticus allows for the death penalty. There's even an allowance that if your own child curses the name of the parent, you as the parent can stone them to death. Yikes! I think that God was putting that one in knowing how hard that would be and giving humans the opportunity to show mercy.  Yes, but it is also still there. But the New Testament has put mercy over the law, one would say.  Jesus came as fulfillment of the law, and yes his one sacrifice on the cross eliminates the sacrificial system.  Isn't it interesting that for thousands of years the Jews made sacrifices to God, and then after the Romans destroy the temple there have not been sacrifices since?
