Electoral Divide Follow Up: Talk of Secession

In my last blog entry I discussed how our nation is geographically split along political philosophy.  I saw another type of map that showed states that created more jobs since June 2009 till September of 2012.  The states that created 72% of the jobs in that period were the states that had right to work laws which President Obama vehemently opposes.  But that didn't prevent him for taking credit for the job creation.

That means, according to the National Institute for Labor Relations Research, that “Right to Work states … were responsible for 72% of all net household job growth across the US from June 2009 through September 2012.”

That 72% statistic is all the more stunning when you realize that according to 2010 census numbers, the right-to-work states included in this calculation -- which does not include Indiana, since it just went right-to-work -- represent just under 40% of the population of the country. Right-to-work states disproportionately create jobs.

Here is the job creation map:

All of this is just reinforcing what I've already stated that we as a nation have created two separate, BUT unequal nations.

Now I mentioned in my earlier blog entry that secession talk has come up on twitter.  Twitchy team has a list here.  I don't support secession talk - at all.  I say us gun loving, constitution loving conservatives need to retake this country.  The current talk I also believe is symbolic to let the president know that he does NOT have a mandate.  The house is still solidly in Republican control and all conservatives nationwide are leaning on them to hold the line on fiscal conservatism.  The president doesn't have a clue on how to negotiate, so forget about him.  This secession talk is a minor distraction that is bourne from these maps that I've been culling from the web:

Here is the link to the Daily Caller column about the 20 some petitions that the White House website has received: Here.

On the White House website for the "We the People" subsection terms of agreement, it says:
The White House will respond to petitions submitted through We the People that comply with these Terms of Participation and reach the second signature threshold listed below. Petitions on We the People must meet the first signature threshold in order to be publicly searchable on WhiteHouse.gov. Petitions that do not meet these signature thresholds will be removed from the site after the time limit has expired. The White House may elect to respond to petitions at any time, including those that have not crossed the first or second threshold.
Several of the petitions are approaching the threshold requiring a response from the White House.  That is funny.  South Carolina petition to secede from the U.S. has almost 12,000 signatures.  See the petitions here:  https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/petitions

There is a split in this country.  It is real.  Those who work hard and believe in personal responsibility are paying for those who don't.  Oops, that comment makes me racist.  Oh well, it's all part of this death spiral that we are in:
Death Spiral 1
Death Spiral 2
Death Spiral 3
...and I promise, the last link:
Death Spiral 4
