BHO Gets Hurt at Healthcare Summit 2010
Today the President hosted a Healthcare Summit at Blair House. The lame stream media will, of course, report that the Republicans were obstructionist by not comprising. It must be noted that a liberal's idea of compromise is to completely capitulate to their point of view.
The president proposed a re-hashed version of the failed senate bill earlier this week on Monday. That was pretty much a non-starter. If that had been such a great idea in the first place then a Republican shouldn't have been able to trounce a Democrat in the bastion of Liberalism, Massachusetts. Barak H. Obama keeps trying to cast the Republicans in the light of the party saying , "No." But that is exactly what Americans want them to do. As Ann Coulter wrote in her column this week, the American people want the Republicans to use a 2"x4" to say it if they must. The Republicans showed they had ideas, and BHO sounded flustered and he was condescending. Oops. The trap backfired.
Bipartisanship does not suit this president. Do you remember in August of 2009 when BHO went out on the circuit to promote socialized medicine? One sound bite in particular I will never forget...
"But I don't want the folks who created the mess to do a lot of talking. I want them to get out of the way so we can clean up the mess. I don't mind cleaning up after them, but don't do a lot of talking."
Basically, the president wants the opposition to just shut up. Don't oppose him. He still thinks this, but his poll numbers are tanking so bad that he felt he needed to appear bipartisan to perhaps take some momentum away from the Republicans. Amazing! I just can't remember any Republican president in recent memory ever talking like this. By 'like this,' I mean like a liberal fascist. Because let's be frank, that speech in VA fits the very definition how fascism seeks to squelch all opposition view points.
Too late. Americans do not want socialized medicine. There is a major backlash coming this fall in mid-term elections. My greatest hope is that we can stop this more so that we will not spend tax payer dollars on abortions. The rest is bad, but this hurts our national spirit the most.
